Camera Construction And Controls:

Photographers got no doubt about the great quality of Fuji X-T10. We can say it is the modernized version of X-T1. The body is made up of Magnesium Alloy that feels like plastic component. Due to this construction, Fuji X-T10 weighs less than X-T1. But when you need to use larger lens, this lighter weight may be an issue.

Fuji X-T10 is comfortable to handle, but not as much X-T1 is relaxing. The loving fact about Fuji X-T10 design is that it is perfect for thumb rest.

Now Let’s talk about the back. Viewfinder is placed where it belongs, that is centered. While previous models of X series have placed viewfinder at the left. Playback button is placed on the left. So you can check the image while you are looking at the view through viewfinder. AEL and AFL buttons are located on the upper side. So you can easily use them using your thumb. At last, the dial is placed at the upper right position, that you can use for choosing different modes.

Image Quality, RAW and Adobe Handling:

You cannot shoot images in simpler settings like lower base ISO and RAW at every ISO setting. If you want to shoot RAW, then it is only possible in the native sensitivity range.

The biggest drawback in Fuji X-T10 is the lack of RAW support in Adobe. We don’t know, whether Fuji is responsible or Adobe. Photographers are waiting anxiously to have solution to deal with this problem.

Another problem faced by photographers is the slow performance of Lightroom and ACR when editing Fuji RAW in them. They dramatically slow down and make user frustrated.

Poor RAW support to Adobe, is the major reason people don’t buy Fuji cameras.

Performance:

Fuji X-T10 got the same auto focus system that X-T1 got. Performance wise, this camera is super awesome for capturing both stills and moving objects. From 77 contrast detections and 15 phase detection, you got versatile range to choose from. Fuji X-T10 is equipped with new autofocus features like Zone and Tracking.

In Fuji X-T10, you can easily customize rear navigation buttons. This helps to change focus points, that photographers wish to have in every camera.

When we are talking about accuracy, the Fuji X-T10 can beat any DSLR camera.

Manual Focus:

Well, people don’t usually use manual focus. As Fuji cameras do best with auto focus. Secondly, its mechanical focus is pretty slow. We wish to have zoom in and out capabilities with faster speed. For manual focusing, you have to press dial placed on the back of the camera. Use viewfinder or LCD to see your actual image before clicking.

Exposure:

Surprisingly, in terms of metering, Fuji X-T10 works greatly. Some awesome shots can be clicked in weird lightening if you own Fuji X-T10.

Shooting Speed:

The shooting speed is 8fps. It means you can only click 8 images in just one second. While X – T1 is able to click 47 JPEG images in the same amount of time. So, Fuji X-T10 is not a preferable choice for action photography.

Now coming to battery life. You can shoot 350 pictures with Fuji X-T10, after that battery will be dead.

Video Shooting:

Fuji X series cameras have never been the first choice to use for video recording. Although we can shoot video at 1080 p HD with 60fps, but still far behind 4k technology.

ISO Performance:

In terms of ISO performance, there is nothing new in the Fuji X-T10 from the previous versions.

Final Verdict:

After reading this guide, we have no concerns or queries about the Fuji X-T10. No doubt, it is a great addition to Fuji X series. Well, performance wise it is much similar to its predecessor. But if you are looking for lighter, improved and inexpensive camera with retro touch, Fuji X-T10 is not a bad bet. The only odds about the Fuji X-T10 is no weather protection and poor support with Adobe. Rest it is worth buying!
