All about Plain White T’sÂ
Who are Plain White T’s: Tom Higgenson, Dave Tirio, and Ken Fletcher formed the American rock band Plain White T’s in Illinois in 1997. In 2007, the band scored a number-one hit with “Hey There Delilah”, which achieved platinum status and earned them two Grammy nominations. A platinum certification was awarded to “1234” and “Rhythm of Love” in 2009 and 2011, respectively.

Higgenson’s favorite albums featured the artists in their photographs wearing plain white T-shirts, hence, the name of the band.
Mostly playing local punk shows in Chicago’s suburbs, they had gigs at the Metro in Wrigleyville.
While driving the band’s van in 1999, Higgenson broke several vertebrae. After being in a back brace for three months, he had to learn how to walk again.
