Phil Hughes
Phil Hughes was a promising Australian cricketer. He played for South Australia, Worcestershire and Australia. In November 2014, he was hit on the neck by a bouncer from Sean Abbott during a Sheffield Shield match between South Australia and New South Wales at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The ball struck him just above his left ear and he died later in hospital.
Raman Lamba
Raman Lamba was the first Indian cricketer to be murdered while playing cricket. He was killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir in 1994. Raman Lamba was born on December 3rd 1967 in Jalandhar (Punjab).
He started his career with Punjab in 1986-87 after making a debut for them at the age of 18 against Railways when he scored 60 not out batting at No 7 position which was quite impressive for such young age.

Bob Woolmer
Bob Woolmer was a former South African cricketer and coach. He coached the Pakistan cricket team when they won the ICC World Twenty20 in 2007. Woolmer was found dead in his hotel room at the Pegasus Hotel, Kingston, Jamaica on March 18, 2007. It was initially believed that he had died from natural causes until police investigations revealed that he had been murdered by strangulation or suffocation.
The post mortem revealed no evidence of alcohol or drugs being present at the time of death and no sign of violence on his body. This led to speculation that Woolmer might have suffered a heart attack before dying asphyxiated while unconscious.
Wasim Raja
Wasim Raja was a Pakistani cricketer who played for Pakistan’s national cricket team from 1983-1992. He played in 73 Tests matches, scoring 3,459 runs at an average of 35.49 with 11 centuries and 15 half-centuries. In 128 One Day Internationals he scored 2,692 runs at an average of 34.52 with 4 centuries and 21 half centuries.
He was also the captain of Pakistan’s national cricket team from 1990 to 1992, leading them to victory in both the 1990 Asia Cup and 1991 Cricket World Cup winning all five matches played by his side during this period including three against Sri Lanka where he scored a total of 219 runs that included one century as well as 3 half centuries.

Zulfiqar Bhatti
Zulfiqar Bhatti was a Pakistani cricketer who was murdered on the orders of his brother-in-law, who was jealous of his success as a cricketer. In 1987, Zulfiqar played for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in an ODI match. He took 4 wickets for 43 runs and scored 85 runs off 58 balls. He did not play international cricket again after this game.
