All Set for Donald Trump to Become 45th President of the United States
The next president of the United States will be Donald Trump after registering a stunning victory over Hillary Clinton.
The projected victory of the Republican nominee happens after months of prediction that Hillary Clinton is on the lead.
The main battlegrounds were Florida, North Carolina and Ohio, which he won in a Brexit-like style.
He was placed ahead by 270 out of 538 Electoral College votes due to his victory in Wisconsin.
As the projection for his victory goes on, the US president-elect delivered a speech in New York. He said that Hillary Clinton had called to congratulate him.
He went on to say that Hillary Clinton has worked for the United States extremely well and the country ought to be grateful.
The former reality TV star, real estate tycoon and a newcomer in the political arena said that getting the victory was not an easy job. Many ridiculed him ever since he declared his candidacy in June 2015.
So far, Trump has bagged home 28 US states. He has even managed to register a victory in Hillary Clinton’s firewall in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. These two states are historically known to have never voted for any Republican candidate since 1984 and 1988 respectively.
He has also taken victory in Lowa, a state that last voted for a Republican Presidential hopeful in 2004.
Mrs Clinton, 69, has only notched up victories in 18 US states and the District of Columbia.
Michigan and New Hampshire had been predicted would be Hillary Clinton’s winning ground. However, as of Wednesday morning, the two were already fiercely contesting the seats.
Her supporters had started to weep early in her election night party in the Javits Center.
On the other hand, Mr.Trump’s supporters had already begun to celebrate, with some chanting “Lock her up!”
