Great Otway National Park (Location)
Also known as the Otways, the Great Otway National Park is situated in the Barwon South West region of Victoria, Australia, around 101 mi (162 km) southwest of Melbourne. Spread across the area of 254,980-acre (103,185-hectare), the national park contains a large variety of fauna and flora and amazing landscapes.
History of Great Otway National Park
The Great Otway National Park was declared in the year 2004. Other places like, Angahook-Lorne State Park, Melba Gully State Park, regions of the Otway State Forest, a number of Crown and Carlisle State Park were combined with the Great Otway National Park to form one big park.

You can also try horse riding in the park, though you would require a permit for this.
Treat your eyes with fascinating scenic views of rugged coastlines sheltered forests and diverse heathlands while walking hand in hand with your loved ones or your group of friends on the Surf Coast Walk. This 44 km walk stretches from Pt Impossible to Fairhaven.
One of the most iconic site in the Great Otway National Park is the Triplet Falls. The water cascades beautifully through the moss tree ferns and the shady rainforests from Mountain Ash and Myrtle Beach. Also walk through the Triplet Falls Walk. Other falls in the national park are Phantom Falls and Erskine Falls.
Also pay a visit to the Cape Otway Light station, the oldest light station in mainland Australia. The 80 m tower offers a great view of the coastline. The Otway Fly, which is 25 m high, provides a great view of the forest.
