Who is Nirvana: Nirvana was an American rock band founded by lead singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain together with bassist Krist Novoselic, and band drummer Dave Grohl in 1987 in Aberdeen, Washington. They were one of the best-selling bands of all time. Five Billboard Alternative Songs chart number-one hits and four Billboard 200 number-one albums were some of the accomplishments of the group. The band was named one of 100 greatest artists of all time by Rolling Stones in 2004.
