Following two pandemic hindered years, with the 2020 occasion dropped and the 2021 fest selecting a downsized and to a great extent online Format, Paniyiri is getting back to its standard full scope of celebrations in 2022.
The Paniyiri 2022 Greek Festival, Brisbane’s widely acclaimed social celebration where everybody is urged to feast, dance, and party like a Greek, will take over Musgrave Park in South Brisbane.
Inaugurated:
The celebration was begun in 1976 and is the longest-running cultural celebration in Queensland, and the longest-running Greek celebration in Australia. It was started by Father Gregory Sakellariou, determined to unite the Greek people group and impart their way of life to individuals of Brisbane.

The dance is part of happiness. This year’s Paniyiri Festival promises to be bigger, longer, and better than ever before. We recognize the traditional caretakers of the land on which we gather, the Turrbal and Jagera individuals of Meeanjin, and offer our regard to elderly folks past, present and arising as we as a whole work towards a just, equitable and accommodated Australia.
