Who are R. City: R. City is a musical duo formed in 2003 of brothers Theron “Uptown AP” Thomas and Timothy “A.I.” Thomas who originated in Virgin Islands. “Locked Away” featuring American singer Adam Levine is their most prominent song. “The Rain,” was their first song sprung in 2006 which appeared on Konvicted, Akon’s triple platinum-selling album.

The two were natives of Saint Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands. They grew up in the Oswald Harris Court Projects and graduated from Charlotte Amalie High School.
When they were young, the brothers were backup dancers for a local all-girl rap group.
They moved to Miami and Theron worked for Kroger while Timothy for Party City.
