In the 2017 British historical war drama film Churchill, directed by Jonathan Teplitzky, Winston Churchill is portrayed in June 1944, particularly in the hours before D-Day. Winston Churchill, who has endured years of combat, anticipates the 1944 Normandy landings and predicts a catastrophe. Brian Cox plays the title character in the movie, and Miranda Richardson & John Slattery play supporting parts.

8.  Layer Cake

In his first attempt as a filmmaker, Matthew Vaughn created the 2004 British crime movie Layer Cake. J. J. Connolly turned his 2000 book with the same name into a screenplay. The movie’s protagonist, played with Daniel Craig, is a drug dealer in London who wants to get out of the cocaine trade. Tom Hardy, Colm Meaney, and Sienna Miller are also included in the movie. Craig’s role is nameless throughout the movie and is only referred to as “XXXX” in the credits.

Reg Evans, who perished in 2009 Victorian bushfires even before the movie was released, also has an appearance, and the movie is dedicated to victims of blazes.
