   • SETI researchers use various methods to detect potential extraterrestrial signals or signs of intelligent life, including radio astronomy, optical observations, and more recently, the search for technosignatures.

   • One of the most well-known methods involves listening for radio signals from space. The idea is that advanced civilizations might intentionally or unintentionally broadcast radio signals, much like we do on Earth.
   • The Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico and the Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia have been prominent radio telescopes used for SETI.
