There are only two eBird surveys for this island group, although scientific surveys have shown a staggering diversity of wildlife.
- The black-footed rock wallaby lives in several gorges in the Exmouth area. As we visit one, we will note population size, which will be submitted to wildlife authorities.
- Surveys of birds and wildlife in Exmouth Gulf and the western side of the Cape Range are rare.
