Who are U2: Bono (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), the Edge (lead guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums and percussion) comprised the Irish rock band U2. In 1983, U2’s first UK number-one album, War, as well as their singles “Sunday Bloody Sunday” and “Pride (In the Name of Love)” helped make them a politically and socially conscious band. The Joshua Tree (1987) became their most critical and commercially successful album, making them widely known artists. With or Without You” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” have been the band’s only US number-one hits to date.
