2. Fortitude Valley, Brisbane
Brisbane also has a thriving gay community with great hookup locations and nightclubs, especially in Fortitude Valley. The Wickham is a casual hangout spot with endless pool tables, giant courtyard, outdoor café and over weekends this casual place turns into a massive dance floor that stays open till late. North Swanbourne beach is 20 minutes from the city centre. Since World War II it has been used by naturists. Come enjoy the white sandy beach with azure sea and great surf. You have three kilometres of nudity with toilets and showers at the Naked Fig Café at the beach.

The WET Spa and Sauna is a large cruise club and sauna only for gays. It has a friendly, laid-back atmosphere with weekly events like the Towel-less Tuesday and more. The facilities include a lounge area, free WiFi, a café, sauna and steam room, sling, maze, cabins and glory holes. This excellent spa is gay owned and operated and have been operating for close to two decades. It is also Brisbane’s only place that features a gay swimming pool as well.

8. The Sportsman Hotel
One of the best places on our list is the gay-only exclusive The Sportsman Hotel. Here you have everything under one roof, from dancing the night away to lavishing meal, have coffee or cocktails. It has large bars with live music, dancing and DJs, restaurant and cafes. Here most of the customers come from the local area as well as wider Queensland. Its location is in Leichhardt Street, Brisbane. It is conveniently located on Jeays Street, Bowen Hills, a quick stroll from the Railway Station.
9. Cube Nightclub, Canberra
Even though you are not exactly spoiled for choice, at least you have a great nightclub in Canberra. The Cube Nightclub.
