Pierces creek is formerly a forestry settlement. The ACT agreed to redevelop this rural settlement in 2003. In 1991, a bushfire destroyed $1.5 million worth of pine trees in Pierces creek. Twelve of the original 13 homes in the settlement were destroyed during the 2003 bushfires. If you love having a peaceful but enjoyable time, Pierces Creek should be at the top of your bucket list!

Cool and shaded spot not too far from the city to spend some time with friends or family. Plenty of grass areas for families to bring their kids and have a little picnic. A must-visit place in Canberra. Marvelous views of the cotter dam, followed by a bridge for the lookout. You can have beautiful walks up the cotter river and the green shady park.
