Early Start
- Tramar Lacel Dillard had seven sisters, whose youngest is his twin.
- Fresh Kid Ice noticed him while he was performing and asked him to be his hype man.
- Flo Rida’s work with Fresh Kid Ice gathered the attention of DeVante Swing, a member of the band Jodeci.
- A number of major labels rejected him, so he sought jobs outside of music.
- In 1998, he graduated from high school and attended Barry University for two months after studying international business management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Career Journey
- 2008: Flo Rida’s debut album, Mail on Sunday, was released with the first single “Low”, featuring T-Pain, that topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
- 2009: His second album, R.O.O.T.S., came out with the first single, “Right Round” featuring Kesha that went straight to the 58th spot.
- 2010: Flo Rida’s third album Only One Flo (Part 1) was released.
- 2012: Wild Ones (originally titled Only One Rida (Part 2)) was Flo Rida’s fourth album with the debut single was “Good Feeling”.
- 2013: Flo Rida sang his new single “I Cry” on America’s Got Talent and performed “Let It Roll” and “Wild Ones” at the 2012 edition of WWE’s Tribute to the Troops.
- 2014: He launched the lead single from his EP My House (2015) titled “G.D.F.R.” featuring Sage the Gemini where the track marked his tenth top 10 hit in the United States, ranking at number 8 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart and at number 3 in the US Top 100 chart on iTunes.
- 2015: The single “Dirty Mind”, featuring Sam Martin and “Who Did You Love”, a collaboration with Arianna, came out.
- 2016: Flo Rida launched a standalone single “Hello Friday” featuring Jason Derulo, that soared to the 79th spot in the Billboard Hot 100 chart, together with the promotional single “Who’s with Me”.
- 2017: Flo Rida released another single “Hola” featuring Colombian singer/songwriter Maluma.
- 2018: Hi single entitled “Dancer” came afterwards by the Just Dance 2019 track “Sweet Sensation”.
