Officially, the garden was opened in the year 1988 as a part of the bicentennial celebrations of Sydney. The garden was named, the Chinese Garden Of Friendship. The name is a symbol of the friendly bond between Australia and China.
The garden has been popular and a favourite among the locals and tourists. The garden was also featured in a scene of the 20th Century Fox’s superhero movie Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie that was released in the year 1995.
