Umberto Tozzi: (My Songs) live in Australia, 2022! We are happy to present Italian singer-songwriter Umberto Tozzi: (My Songs) live in Australia, 2022! Tozzi is still regarded as one of Italy’s best performers, with successes spanning four decades, several of which have been used in major movie pictures. Gloria, a song he wrote in 1979, became the theme for Martin Scorcese’s film The Wolf of Wall Street, and Laura Branigan went on to have international success with it. As Umberto and his band journey through a career that has sold over 32 million albums, the tour will contain all of his songs, including Gloria, Ti Amo, Stella Stai, Gente di Mare, Tu, and many more.

Umberto Tozzi Biography
Umberto Antonio Tozzi is an Italian pop and rock singer and songwriter born on 4 Mar 1952. He has sold over 70 million albums worldwide in several languages throughout his career, with his biggest international singles being “Stella Stai,” “Gloria,” “Tu,” and “Ti Amo.” Tozzi was born in Turin, Italy, on 4 Mar 1952. Umberto Tozzi joined ‘Off Sound,’ one of the several ensembles that performed in modest spaces around Turin, when he was 16 years old. He met Adriano Pappalardo in Milan, and the two created a 13-piece band and embarked on a large-scale Italian tour. The song “Un Corpo, un’anima” (“One Body, One Soul”), co-written with Damiano Dattoli and sung by Wess and Dori Ghezzi, was Tozzi’s first commercial breakthrough as a songwriter in 1974. It was shown on Canzonissima, an Italian music show that aired from 1956 until 1974.
