The Baby Animals are celebrating the potential 30th anniversary of their self-titled first album, which was nominated for an Aria Award, and went platinum four times. Tour Details

The Triple M Network is thrilled to announce Baby Animals’ 30th Anniversary Tour, which will be from June to August 2021 and will feature special guest Kingswood. This tour will add to Baby Animals’ astounding total of over 800 live performances throughout their illustrious career. It will feature classic tunes from the band’s 8x ARIA award-winning self-titled debut album, including ‘Rush You’ and ‘Painless.’   The tour will take up on June 25 with a performance at The Triffid in Brisbane, followed by dates in Adelaide, Tweed Heads, Sunshine Coast, Melbourne, and Sydney in July and August, before ending off on August 14 in Toronto, NSW. The release of Baby Animals’ debut song, ‘Early Warning,’ in April 1991 signaled the band’s emergence on the Australian music scene. The song came among the Top 20 on the ARIA charts, earning the band an ARIA Award for ‘Breakthrough Artist – Single’ the following year. This massive debut was challenging to beat, but they released their second song, ‘Rush You,’ equally popular on radio and the charts in August.

Biography

Baby Animals were a hard rock band from Australia that existed from October 1989 to 1996 and was revived in 2007. Frank Celenza on drums, Suze DeMarchi on lead vocals and guitar, Dave Leslie on guitar and supporting vocals, and Eddie Parise on bass guitar and backing vocals comprised the initial lineup. They released two studio albums, first Baby Animals (September 1991), which reached No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Baby Animals received three awards at the 1992 ARIA Music Awards: Album of the Year, Breakthrough Artist – Album, and Breakthrough – Single for “Early Warning” respectively, for the album. Baby Animals was included in the 100 Best Australian Albums (October 2010). The band has re-assembled DeMarchi, Leslie, and bassist Dario Bortolin alongside drummer Mick Skelton for the re-united reunion tour.
