All about Electric Light Orchestra
Who are Electric Light Orchestra: English rock band, Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), is comprised of Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood with drummer Bev Bevan formed in Birmingham in 1970. They released a string of top-ten albums and singles, including two albums that reached the British top 10: Discovery (1979), a disco-inspired album, and Time (1981), a concept album based on science-fiction. Lynne disbanded the group in 1986 due to loss of interest. In response, Bevan formed his own band, ELO Part II, which later became the Orchestra.

Opening Lyrics:
There ain’t a cloud in sight
It’s stopped rainin’ everybody’s in the play
And don’t you know
It’s a beautiful new day, hey hey
See how the sun shines brightly in the city
On the streets where once was pity
Mr. Blue Sky is living here today, hey hey
You had to hide away for so long (so long)
Where did we go wrong?
Don’t Bring Me Down
Length: 4:03
Release: 1979
Opening Lyrics:
You got me thinkin’ that I’m wastin’ my time
No, no, no, no, no
Ooh-ooh-hoo
I’ll tell you once more before I get off the floor
Don’t bring me down
I’m tellin’ you, it’s got to be the end
No, no, no, no, no
Ooh-ooh-hoo
I’ll tell you once more before I get off the floor
Don’t bring me down
Livin’ Thing
Length: 3:32

Opening Lyrics:
Oh, rollin’ and ridin’ and slippin’ and slidin’, it’s magic
You took me, oh (higher and higher, baby)
It’s a terrible thing to lose
It’s a givin’ thing
What a terrible thing to lose
Dive
From your worst day (I’m takin’ a dive)
Oh, movin’ in line, then you look back in time
To the first day (I’m takin’, I’m takin’)
Last Train to London
Length: 4:30
Release: 1979
Opening Lyrics:
Nine twenty-nine, back street, big city
The sun was going down
There was music all around, it felt so right
One of those nights when you feel the world stop turning
You were standing there
There was music in the air
But I knew I had to stay
Just heading out
Last train to London
Just leaving town
But I really want tonight to last forever
Evil Woman
Length: 4:19
Release: 2017
Opening Lyrics:
But them broken dreams have got to end
‘Cause you ain’t got no one else to use
There’s an open road that leads nowhere
So just make some miles between here and there
There’s a hole in my head where the rain comes in
You took my body and played to win
Ha, ha, woman, it’s a cryin’ shame
But you ain’t got nobody else to blame
Evil woman
Evil woman
Evil woman
Hit some gold, too hard to settle down
But a fool and his money soon go separate ways
