Revivalists of glam-rock The Darkness are frequent travelers to Australia, and their sixth album, Easter Is Cancelled, was released in March 2020, and they were blowing minds down here. Unfortunately, the tour was never finished (for obvious reasons), so the band is delighted to bring their outrageous live act back to Australia in October.

Performing Album & Songs
The Darkness will be at its loosest and most extroverted frequency, brimming with their signature scorching guitar riffs and solos, soaring falsetto, and unfathomable rock ‘n’ roll extravagance. Fans will be treated with new songs from the new album Motorhead, as well as award-winning, platinum-selling hit singles like ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ and ‘Love Is Only A Feeling,’ making for a spectacular show.
The band was fairly silent on social media throughout the first half of 2021. The band announced on June 4, 2021, that their new album, Motorheart, will be released in October. On November 19, they finally published the album. The announcement also revealed the album’s cover. The album will be released on CD, vinyl, cassette tape, and digital download. Motorhead, the first single, was released in August. In conjunction with the album’s release, the band has announced a lengthy set of UK tour dates for November and December.
The Darkness Biography
The Darkness is a Lowestoft, England-based British rock band. Justin Hawkins (lead vocals, lead guitar), his brother Dan Hawkins (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Frankie Poullain (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Rufus Tiger Taylor (drums, backing vocals) make up the band (drums, backing vocals). Poullain departed the band in 2005 after considerable touring in promoting their debut album and was replaced by former guitar technician Richie Edwards.
One Way Ticket to Hell and Back was the band’s second studio album, was released in November 2005. After completing an alcohol and cocaine misuse recovery program, Justin Hawkins left the band the following year. As a result of this and the album’s dismal sales, Atlantic dropped the band in October 2006. The surviving members created Stone Gods after the breakup and continued to perform and record without Hawkins, who went on to head his band, Hot Leg.
